Proclamation in recognition of Peace Day in Dunedin


February 15th, City of Dunedin Commissioner Maureen “Moe” Freaney and the Mayor and other city commissioners proclaimed February 23rd as Peace Day in Dunedin. Commissioner Freaney read the Proclamation in recognition of Peace Day in Dunedin during a city work session and presented the Proclamation to Larry Franklin, President of the Rotary Club of Dunedin, along with Sherrie Kinkead, member of the Rotary Club of Dunedin, North. President Franklin accepted the Proclamation and thanked the city from the three Rotary clubs of Dunedin, including Rotary Club of Dunedin, Waterside. President Franklin stated the placement of the Peace Pole between the north side of the community center and the lake was a beautiful location. He invited the Mayor and commissioners to join him for the Peace Pole Dedication Ceremony Wednesday evening, February 23rd starting at 6:00 PM located at the Community Center.
