Providing Non-Law Enforcement Responses to Nonviolent and Non-Criminal Calls for Services



Our membership was privileged to meet Tiana Audet, the Community Assistance & Life Liaison (CALL) Program Director - at Gulf Coast Jewish Community and Family Services.

What is the Community Assistance and Life Liaison (CALL) program? CALL is a partnership between the St. Petersburg Police Department (SPPD) and Gulf Coast JFCS to provide alternative response and wraparound services for nonviolent and noncriminal 911/non-emergency calls and referrals. CALL has been in place for three years and has been dispatched over 13,000 times.




CALL offers the following services:

  • Mental Person/Suicide Threat/Baker Act

  • Disorderly Juvenile

  • Truancy

  • Neighborhood Dispute

  • Intoxication/Substance Use/Marchman Act

  • Homelessness Concerns

  • Check Welfare

  • Call for Assistance
